Hi guys. Every year for the past ten years or so, I have hosted an Academy Awards viewing party at my house. All of my favorite girlfriends come over and we eat, drink and watch. We especially love talking about what all the movie stars are wearing. Our list has grown throughout the years and this year was the biggest yet. My very dear friend Rita organizes games every year. She is so creative and brings prizes from her hair salon (Salon 359 in Newport Beach, California).
What I love about my girlfriends is how eclectic of a group we are. They are both friends who I have known for many years, and friends who are newer in my life. I truly love these ladies. I appreciate their style as well. Everyone is so different. Some of them dress funky and trendy, some are more conservative and some are a little of both. These ladies really took it up a notch this year. Some stepped out of their comfort zone and tried a new trend, while others wore color when all they ever wear is black. Everyone made an effort to look their very best and they all looked fabulous. It was a wonderful evening.
I decided to dress more funky and trendy, as if I was going out for a night on the town in Los Angeles. I wore faux red leather pants paired with a black long flowy top and some amazing black Jimmy Choo kitten heels. I purchased these Jimmy Choos on a girls trip to New York City at Saks Fifth Avenue. They are so classic and are one of my absolute favorite pairs of shoes. Kitten heels are so versatile. They can be worn with skinny jeans, skinny pants or a knee length skirt.
