My Favorite Summer Sandals

1) Sam Edelman sandals-- Nordstrom
2) Tory Burch--Nordstrom
3) Havianas--Nordstrom
4) Tkees-- Nordstrom
5) Sam Edelman-- Nordstrom

Hi guys!!!! Summer is here and one of the best staples in a summer wardrobe are sandals.  There are so many different kinds of sandals.  Here are some of my favorites and I recommend adding these styles to your summer shoe collection:

1) Traditional sandals-- The  Sam Edelman Gigi Sandal is a must have.  This thong sandal has an adjustable ankle strap. It comes in a variety of colors and looks great with all the summer trend styles like maxi skirts and dresses, shorts and flowy pants.

2 ) Tory Burch Sandal-- This is a fabulous and classic dressy sandal.  It comes in many colors but my favorite is gold.  Every girl needs a pair of gold sandals.  They add some pizazz to a basic outfit.

3,4) Haviana and Tkee sandals-- These are great casual summer sandals.  Flip flops are perfect to wear at the pool, beach or just running errands around town.  These styles are so cute and comfortable.

5) Sam Edelman Block Sandals-- My best friend Jessica introduced these to me when we were on a girls trip to San Francisco.  I have loved them ever since.  They can be worn with a basic tshirt and cute boyfriend jeans, or cute denim shorts.  They are adorable, especially in this color combination.

So try to incorporate some of these sandal options into your summer wardrobe.  Let me know what you think. Happy reading!!!!

Statement Necklace

Blazer--Topshop- Nordstrom
Skinny Jeans-- Joe's-- Bloomingdale's
Ankle Strap Heels-- Sam Edelman--Bloomingdale's
Statement Necklace-- Baublebar

Hi guys!!! I just celebrated my friends Rita's and Sue's birthdays at the movies.  We saw The Other Woman ( which was so funny).  We had yummy food and drinks and
as always, all the ladies looked fabulous.

I wore a simple black blazer, skinny jeans and ankle strap heels. Since this outfit is so basic, a great way to dress it up is by adding a bold statement necklace.  I wore a chunky gold necklace from a website called Baublebar.  I love this necklace so much and have been wearing it with just a tshirt and jeans, different dresses, and fun flowy tops. It really changes the look of my most basic and classic outfits.  I highly recommend purchasing a bold statement necklace to add to one of your go to outfits. Try it and let me know what you think.  Photo credits and editing to Cathy Cordas. Thanks again. Happy reading!!!!

Little Black Dress

Little Black Dress-- Honey Punch-- Harper's--949- 644-7467
Jimmy Choo Booties (old)  Similar here-- Nordstrom
Necklace-- Dale Michele
Chanel Handbag

Hi guys!!!! Today's topic is the Little Black Dress (LBD).  An LBD is a must add to your wardrobe and can be worn both casual and dressy.  It is an important fashion staple and never goes out of style.

I wore my LBD by Lush on a girl's night out with my friends Cathy and Stacey at Fig & Olive in Newport Beach.  I also wore Jimmy Choo open toed booties, a great necklace from Dale Michele and my classic Chanel bag.  An LBD is a great summer purchase.  It is perfect for any fun daytime or nighttime event.  You can add a blazer, leather jacket or even a denim jacket if it is cooler outside.

Stacey wore an LBD with longer sleeves, pairing it with wedges.  Cathy wore a classic faux fur vest over a jumpsuit.  These girls look amazing and I love that each of them choose styles that fit them the best and makes them feel good. Where do you guys like wearing your LBD?  Let me know and happy reading.  Photo credits to Cathy Cordas. Thanks again!!!!

Hi guys!!!!! I wanted to share with you one of my most favorite stores in Los Angeles--Dale Michele (owned my my dear friend Dale Asti) in Beverly Hills.  This is your spot to find fun accessories like handbags or unique jewelry (amazing rope style necklaces, earrings and bracelets) or hip tops, dresses and jumpsuits   If you are in LA any time soon you must come by and visit.  Dale will most likely be there and she is great with giving advice on how to put outfits together.  I promise you will not be disappointed!!!!

Dale showed me this adorable Triumph jumpsuit, and once I tried it on and walked around the store I just fell in love with it.  It is so comfortable and flattering. It was my purchase of the day and I couldn't wait to bring it home and wear for a fun day or night out.

So if you are in LA any time soon stop by Dale Michele.  Say hi to Dale for me and I'm sure she will help you pick out something fabulous.  Happy reading!!!!!

Hi guys!!!!! I went to a private event at Louis Vuitton in Beverly Hills with my best friend Jessica.  Our friend Samantha brought us as her guests (thanks Sam). The event was to promote Louis Vuitton's newest collection.  We weren't allowed to take pictures inside, but I can tell you all the new items were fabulous, especially the shoes and handbags.

I wanted to look chic yet be comfortable.  I wore my favorite black blazer, a basic black tank and a Graham and Spencer silver and black skirt.  I purchased the blazer and skirt at Pink Laundry in Newport Beach (one of my favorite local boutiques).   I completed the look with Jeffrey Campbell black caged booties, which are a little edgier than traditional black booties and are great for spring and summer. You can wear them with skirts, jeans, shorts or dresses.

I also wore a silver necklace from my friend Dale Asti's boutique in Beverly Hills-- Dale Michele.  She has great jewelry.  Check her out at

I completed my look with a black Louis Vuitton purse I got for my birthday a few years ago.  I always have the best time at these girly events, especially with Jessica.  Let me know what do you like doing with your BFF.   Happy reading !!!!!

Bloggers Brunch

El Matador Jen's Pirate Booty Dress-- Jen's Pirate Booty
Stuart Weitzman Gladiator Sandals-- Nordstrom
Prada sunglasses-- Nordstrom

Hi guys!!!! I just went to an amazing brunch at the Sunny Spot in LA, hosted by Alex Valenzuela from Stylista Confessions.  She set up an organization for Southern California bloggers called the So Cal Blogger Society.  Alex is sharing her expertise with us bloggers and I'm lucky to have found her.  I highly recommend for you new or established bloggers to check out her site.

I went to the brunch with my official photographer, my friend Cathy Cordas.  I met amazing women who are just as passionate about blogging as me.  Their blogs ranged from challenge blogs, to blogs about handbags, curly hair, exercise and fitness, nautical theme, lifestyle and fashion.  It was refreshing to meet these lovely ladies and discuss different blogging topics while we ate delicious food and drank mimosas at such a hip LA spot.

I especially enjoyed meeting Kate and Leah of LA Brunchers, and I can't wait to do brunch with them in Orange County.

I wore a white boho chic dress from Jen's Pirate Booty.  This is an incredible line that you may have seen on today's hippest stars.  I loved this dress paired with (what else) my gold Stuart Weitzman gladiator sandals.  Cathy wore a Diane Von Furstenberg dress - perfect for spring.

We had the best time and can't wait to have brunch again soon with these lovely ladies.  Let me know what you wear to brunch.  Happy reading!!!!!

Dancing with the Stars

Dress--Lovers and Friends-- Revolve
Gladiator Sandals-- Stuart Weitzman-- Nordstrom
Necklace-- Twisted Silver
Earrings-- Jess Loves Jewels (@jesslovesjewels)

Hi guys.  My friend Rita took a few of us to see a taping of Dancing with the Stars.  It was so much fun.  I never realized how much went into the taping of the show.   The dancers are incredible.

We were told not to wear standard black because it doesn't show up well on TV.  Most ladies I know prefer to wear black (including myself), so we stepped outside of our comfort zone and wore bright colors.   Our color choices paid off.  We were picked to be in the VIP section and sat with family and friends of the dancers. All because they liked our bright colored dresses!!!!!

I wore a dress by Lovers and Friends. They make a version of this dress every season in all colors.  I love it in orange.   This dress is flattering and a great length.  I wore it with gladiator sandals and gold jewelry. I think orange and gold is a great combination.

Rita (in a yellow Lovers and Friends dress) and Julie (in a Lush yellow and nude colored dress from Harpers boutique-- looked fabulous.  One of the most memorable moments was when NeNe Leakes (one of the stars) looked at Rita and said, "I love your yellow dress".  Wearing bright colors and moving away from our traditional black really was the best choice. It looked great on television and made us standout more.  Thanks Rita for taking us. We had the best time.  Let me know when you have worn bright colors as an alternative to black.  Happy reading!!!!!
