Hi guys. My friend Rita took a few of us to see a taping of Dancing with the Stars. It was so much fun. I never realized how much went into the taping of the show. The dancers are incredible.
We were told not to wear standard black because it doesn’t show up well on TV. Most ladies I know prefer to wear black (including myself), so we stepped outside of our comfort zone and wore bright colors. Our color choices paid off. We were picked to be in the VIP section and sat with family and friends of the dancers. All because they liked our bright colored dresses!!!!!
I wore a dress by Lovers and Friends. They make a version of this dress every season in all colors. I love it in orange. This dress is flattering and a great length. I wore it with gladiator sandals and gold jewelry. I think orange and gold is a great combination.
Rita (in a yellow Lovers and Friends dress) and Julie (in a Lush yellow and nude colored dress from Harpers boutique– www.shopharpers.com) looked fabulous. One of the most memorable moments was when NeNe Leakes (one of the stars) looked at Rita and said, “I love your yellow dress”. Wearing bright colors and moving away from our traditional black really was the best choice. It looked great on television and made us standout more. Thanks Rita for taking us. We had the best time.
