You Tube Plug In

Hi guys!!!! I'm so excited to share with you our day filming with Michelle Patterson the President of Women Network and the California Women's Conference.  She is an inspiration to all women.  As the Founder and president of the Women Network, LLC, she provides a digital media platform giving women a voice to share their message. She strives to empower women and bring them together as a community. Cathy and I were honored when she asked to feature Everything Evelyne on the You Tube Show Plug In, she cohosts from time to time with Avi Chalid.

Michelle asked us questions about Everything Evelyne and how writing this blog has inspired women to feel good about themselves and take fashion risks. Michelle's message is about giving women a voice, and I believe that feeling good about yourself and stepping outside of your box through fashion is one way to make a positive change. You can catch the show in its entirety at You Tube-- Plug In How to Stay Entertained with Everything Evelyne

I decided to wear this adorable black lace dress I picked up at a local boutique, Holly Sharp in Corona del Mar. I love the cut and the sleeves. I paired it with my favorite Jeffrey Campbell lace ups. I felt comfortable and confident in this outfit. I recommend having many different little black dresses in your closet as a great go to piece.  Let me know what black dress styles are your favorite!!! Thanks to Cathy Cordas for photos and don't forget to check out Plug In on You Tube! And you can follow me on Instagram, Facebook Twitter and Bloglovin.  Happy reading!!!

My Interview at Darya

Hi guys!!!! I'm so excited to share with you my interview with Aly Omar of the Real Real and her blog Lady Omar to Fashionista Now Boarding. We met at Darya, an amazing Persian restaurant in Costa Mesa.

Aly is so fashionable and has such knowledge about vintage and designer pieces. I really enjoyed her enthusiasm about fashion. She knows her brands and offered some great suggestions about how to purchase and sell items through the website the Real Real. It was very informative. You can see this interview and hear more about Aly on Fashionista Now Boarding, the new TV show airing Fridays at 6:00 am on Channel 63.

I decided to wear this adorable floral shift dress from Nordstrom that I paired with my favorite
Rag and Bone booties. As you all know I love a good shift dress and the Nordstrom Savvy Department has many choices. These dresses are so easy to wear and very comfortable.

So don't forget to set your DVRs to channel 63 on Friday mornings at 6:00 am. Thanks to Cathy Cordas for photos and don't forget to follow me on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Bloglovin. Happy reading!!!!

My Boho Look

Booties-- Bedstu

Hi guys!!!! All this talk about Coachella has gotten me into the bohemian fashion trend. I think it's such a fun and fresh look.

When I think of a boho look I think of pieces that are casual, have lace details and are flowy. Bohemian style incorporates clothing that is loose fitting and comfortable. Bohemian pieces also include, peasant tops, maxi dresses and skirts, flared jeans, and romantic touches like floral patterns and lace. I am wearing this flowy cream dress with a touch of lace accents from a cute boutique called Love and Laundry . I added this amazing red felt hat from the Gypset Mermaids and camel Bedstu booties. My look felt so comfortable and was easy to wear. I know you can pull off this look too!!! Maybe try a flowy dress, an item with lace accents or add one of these fun felt hats to your wardrobe. Let me know how you rock the boho trend. Leave me comments and don't forget to follow me on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Bloglovin. Thanks to Cathy Cordas for photos and happy reading!!!!

Trina Turk

Skirt-- Leith-- Nordstrom
Top--Topshop--Nordstrom
Shoes--Jeffrey Campbell--Nordstrom

Hi guys!!!! Cathy and I were lucky enough to attend the USC Women in Business Event at the fabulous Trina Turk store in Fashion Island. It was an incredible evening filled with delicious food and drinks, unbelievable Trina Turk clothing, and the opportunity to meet many inspirational working women from all different fields. Trina spoke about how she got started in the design business, and how she choses her trademark prints.  I had the amazing opportunity to interview Trina. Please check out more coverage of this event on Fashionista Now Boarding, on Channel 63 at 6:00 am on Friday April 17 (and every Friday so set your DVR). Thanks so much to the stylish Manna Kadar of Manna Kadar Cosmetics for inviting us and hosting this event.

I decided to wear this Leith flowered multicolored skirt, a basic black Topshop shirt and my new Jeffrey Campbell shoes. It was a fun outfit that added that pop of color and texture to a more traditional skirt. I love this skirt!!! It is made up of little flowers - so creative and unique.  Whenever you choose to wear a textured piece like this skirt, remember to pair it with a basic color/fabric on top so the look doesn't become too busy.  This skirt will also look great with a basic white t-shirt and flip flops for a more casual look.

Cathy and I each made a purchase from Trina Turk and we can't wait to share them with you in future posts!!!! Thanks to Cathy Cordas for photos and don't forget to follow me on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Bloglovin. Happy reading!!!!
