Hi guys!!!!! I am one lucky lady. I just got back from the most amazing girl’s trip to New York City. I went with six of my girlfriends and we met up with some more friends that currently live there. It was such a great trip and we had the best time.
Packing for NYC was a difficult task. I wanted to bring all of my favorite items but I didn’t want to overpack. So this time I kept it simple. I packed basic tops by Lush or Joie that I pick up every season from Nordstrom, a leather jacket, a faux fur jacket and vest, some fun night time pants and jeans with heels and boots, and of course a great scarf and hat. Cathy had a great packing tip: To layer plastic wrap from the dry cleaners between all the clothing to avoid wrinkles!!!
For daytime attire, I wore my favorite Lush and Joie tops, paired with jeans, a scarf and hat, and my Blank NYC faux leather jacket that I picked up at the Nordstrom Anniversary sale. I added my tall Dolce Vita boots that were so comfortable and my NYC look felt very stylish and chic. And all the girls looked fabulous in their sweaters, blazers, jeans, leggings and boots for their day look.
New York City really is such an unbelievable place. We spent our days walking the streets of Madison and Fifth Avenue and shopping at Saks and Bergdorfs. We had an amazing lunch at Fred’s at Barney’s (one of my all time favorite lunch spots) and spent a day on the streets of Soho, while we shopped until we dropped. It’s so great to walk around the streets of NYC and see all the hip shops and restaurants. We had a blast. And don’t forget to read my upcoming posts for more NYC pictures and updates.
