Kimono for Fall

Hi guys!!!!! I have been absolutely in love with rompers this summer. They are easy to throw on when I run my errands or go out for lunch or dinner. A great way to take the look of the romper into the fall season, is by adding a long kimono and booties.  It's such a chic look.

I found this outfit at a boutique called Love and Laundry in Costa Mesa. They have the most amazing pieces.  You should check it out.

So try this long kimono style out. You can also pair it with shorter dresses, or a tshirt and jeans. Let me know what you think by adding comments. Also don't forget to follow me on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Bloglovin. Thanks to Cathy Cordas for photo editing. Happy reading!!!!!

Scarves and Gloves

1) Plaid scarf-- Forever 21
2) Infinity scarf-- Forever 21
3) Fringe scarf- Forever 21
4) Gloves- Gap
5) Gloves-- Nordstrom

Hi guys!!!! I'm going on a girls trip in a few weeks to New York City. I cannot wait!!!! I just love New York City especially going with some of my favorite girlfriends. When you are traveling to cooler climates like New York it is important to pack some important accessories: scarves and gloves. They are not only fashionable statement pieces that are must haves in your wardrobe, but they also dress up basic outfits. I love the look of a tshirt, skinny jeans, a blazer and boots and an amazing scarf. The scarf adds texture and can give that pop of color while keeping you warm. And gloves are a must to keep your hands warm too!!!

Are you planning any trips to cooler climates? What are your favorite kinds of scarves and gloves to pack? Let me know in the comment section. And don't forget to follow me on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Bloglovin. Happy reading!!!!!

Hi guys!!!! I wanted to share with you a fun annual event I recently attended that is put on by my son Benjamin's Middle and High School. It's the Corona del Mar Home Tour. This is a PTA event that highlights beautiful homes in Newport Beach and Corona del Mar as well as supports educational programs at Corona del Mar Middle and High School.

It was an amazing day that included a wonderful lunch at the Sherman's Gardens, touring seven extraordinary homes, and shopping at an exclusive boutique (including Gina B Jewelry which I love!!!).

Cathy and I volunteered at one of the seven homes by being docents for the day. We had the best time. I decided to wear a comfortable flowy dress and my new go to Rag and Bone booties. I also am obsessed with this House of Harlow necklace. I have been wearing it all the time.

What a lovely day with lovely ladies. I can't wait for next year!!!! Thanks to Cathy Cordas for photos and don't forget to follow me on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Bloglovin. Happy reading!!!

A Great Pair of Heels

Top-- Nordstrom
Skirt-- similar--Nordstrom
Heels-- old- similar--Nordstrom

Hi guys!!!! Jeff and I met some friends in LA for dinner at a hip restaurant at the Bevelry Hilton Hotel. Whenever I go to dinner, especially in LA at a hip, swanky place, I love wearing heels. It doesn't matter if I'm wearing a skirt and top like at this dinner, a great dress or even jeans and a blazer, a pair of heels is the perfect shoe to complete my chic outfit.

I recommend investing in a classic pair of heels (my go to colors are black and nude). A great pair of basic (and comfortable) heels are a must for every wardrobe. They go with everything and can be worn to a date night at a fancy restaurant, or at a casual girls night out.

There are many different choices for a good pair of heels. I love patent leather, but there is also plain leather, all different sized heel heights, open or closed toe and the list goes on. You just have to try different styles and choose the one that is best for your personality and preference. Remember, have fun with this and please leave me comments in the comment section to let me know your favorite styles of heels. I love hearing from you. Thanks to Cathy Cordas for photo editing. Must Have Fall Boots

1) Booties- Vince Camuto- Nordstrom
2) Over the Knee Boot- Stuart Weitzman- Nordstrom
3) Moto Boot- Nordstrom
4) Stacked Heel Boot--Topshop- Nordstrom

Hi guys!!!! Today I wanted to share with you Nordstrom's favorite picks for your must have boots for this fall season.  According to Nordstrom.com, here are 4 essential picks for fall boots:

1) The Bootie-- My readers know that my favorite shoe to wear all year round is the bootie. For fall try to choose a bootie with a great heel like this chic option by Vince Camuto. I love both open and closed toed booties. They can be worn with almost any outfit, especially a dress, or skinny jeans and a stylish top.

2) The Over the Knee Boot--- I am absolutely obsessed with this version by Stuart Weitzman. They make your legs look long and sleek no matter what height you are. They are perfect with skinny jeans and a classic top and blazer or faux leather jacket. You can also wear them with dresses that have a shorter hem line.

3) The Moto/Combat Boot-- This is such a fun boot that can give any ordinary outfit an edgy, funky feel.

4) The Stacked Heel Boot-- I love this chunky heel on this style boot. It looks amazing with jeans.

So remember there are many choices for fall boots so choose the looks that fit your style best. Let me know what styles are your favorite, and leave comments for me in the comment section. Don't forget to follow me on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Bloglovin. Happy reading!!!!

A Day at South Coast Plaza

Top--similar-- Honey punch
Jeans-- Joe's
Booties- Bed Stu

Hi guys. I just got back from an incredible event at South Coast Plaza. My friend Julie and I donated $60 to Angelitos de Oro, which supports Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Orange County.  In return we received a 20% discount card that we could use at all participating stores and restaurants at South Coast Plaza from October 8th - October 14th.

We visited some of our favorite stores, including Diptyque for candles and perfume, and Madewell for amazing jeans and accessories, and we had a wonderful lunch at Quattro Caffe. I wore a Honey Punch tank top, Joe's boyfriend jeans and my new favorite Bed Stu camel booties. I felt comfortable and stylish.  It was such a great day.

So next October, buy an Angelitos de Oro card and have a fun day shopping as well as supporting a great organization like Big Brothers and Big Sisters!!!! Thanks Cathy Cordas for photo editing. And don't forget to follow me on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Bloglovin. Happy reading!!!!

Leopard Prints Part 2

Dress-- sold out-- similar here
Booties-- Jeffrey Campbell- sold out-- similar here
Sunglasses-- Ray Ban--Bloomingdale's
Purse-- Chanel
Necklace-- Helen Ficalora
Earrings-- Gold hoops-- Jewels by Jessica

Hi guys!!!! I've gotten so many comments about how you all love leopard print from my last post.  So I decided to continue the leopard print theme. I love mixing it up with patterns and prints, especially in the fall. Colors likes deep burgundy, red, black and brown are quintessential to fall. Leopard prints are the perfect blend of blacks and browns.

As I mentioned in my last post, you can wear leopard print in the form of a dress or skirt, or in accessories like a purse or scarf.  It's easy to change the look of this leopard print dress by adding a faux leather jacket, booties and black tights, or high boots when the weather gets cooler. I also like this halter neck line. It's a great alternative to a more traditional tank top style. Remember when you are wearing prints like leopard, keep everything else simple.  Pair it with basic black like I did with with these booties.  You don't want the look to be too busy.

I really love getting comments so don't forget to let me know how you will wear leopard prints this fall. I'd love to here from you. And don't forget to follow me on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Bloglovin. Thanks Cathy Cordas for photo editing. Happy reading!

A Day at the Movies

Dress- Glamorous-- Nordstrom
Denim Vest-- Levi's
Converse Tennis Shoes- Nordstrom

Hi guys!!!! I just love going to the movies, especially with my kids. Cathy and I took our kids to see a Sunday matinee of Dolphin Tale 2 (so cute!!!!!). We saw it at the District in Irvine.

When I am spending the day hanging out with my kids I like to be comfortable but look fashionable at the same time. I purchased this adorable dress at Nordstrom. It is by Glamorous, from the Savvy department. The unique pattern and colors are perfect for fall.

I love changing up a simple dress by adding something different to it like this denim vest. Sometimes adding a piece like a vest can change the whole look of an outfit. I wear denim vests often-- I like them with maxi dresses and skirts and flowy dresses like this one. I also swapped white converse tennis shoes for my traditional flip flops to add to this laid back look. We had a great day at the movies!!! What movies have you seen lately and what do you like to wear to a Sunday matinee? Let me know by making comments in the comment section!!! Thanks to Cathy Cordas for photos. Happy reading and don't forget to follow me on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Bloglovin.
