Hi guys. My favorite item this week is the perfect shirt. I call it the perfect shirt because it fits every body type so well and it is comfortable and easy to wear. It can be made of silk, rayon or a polyester blend. It can have long or short sleeves and hits just below your waist. You can wear it out over jeans or add a slight tuck into your jeans. This type of shirt has become a staple in my wardrobe. Spring is just around the corner, and adding a shirt in a fun bright color is the perfect way to update your look.
The shirt I’m wearing today is a beautiful teal color. I really like how it lays so nicely over a classic pair of skinny jeans (my favorite Joe’s Jeans). All I had to do was add a great statement necklace and some neutral booties and my outfit is complete.
Many ladies ask me what they can do to update their look. I recommend investing in some basics and this perfect shirt is one of them. I bought my shirt at Harper’s in Corona del Mar (www.shopharpers.com). My friend Erica Thomas owns this adorable boutique and it is a place you should all visit. Harper’s carries this style shirt made by Lush, Honey Punch and Olivaceous. It comes in many colors. Some styles are button down with more of a defined collar, and some are plain in the front with a nonstructured collar like the one I’m wearing. I’ve also seen this style shirt made by the labels Joie and Equipment, which can be found at Bloomingdale’s or Nordstrom.
